“Our pediatricians are of the highest standards and quality, and we can make a list of our pediatricians available, along with their location and office hours,” Dr. Newman says. “And they are available for parents to interview.”
General pediatricians and family doctors also have a flawless avenue to access CWPW's roster of subspecialty care doctors. “Any referring physician simply needs to contact the division within CWPW for that particular subspecialty area,” Dr. Newman explains. Telephone numbers are available on the back page of the newsletter, and on CWPW's Web site : cwpw.org .
If there is an emergency and the child needs to be seen immediately, the generalist can call the CWPW subspecialty office and speak with a doctor. “If there is ever any difficulty, the physician can call my office directly” and arrangements will be made to see a CWPW doctor at once. Dr. Newman can be reached at 914-594-4282.
“We take a personal approach to health care,” Dr. Newman states. “We consider the pediatricians in the region to be very important. We want the delivery of quality care to be as seamless as possible.”
If a family or referring physician determines that a child requires the intervention of multiple pediatric subspecialty physicians, CWPW's Medical Home can accommodate the child. Devised by Dr. Newman and his colleagues at CWPW, the Medical Home provides a single focus point for assessing, diagnosing and treating children with multiple chronic illnesses. Appointments can be made by calling 914-594-4602.
Parents with a new baby can find the medical care they need at CWPW, Dr. Newman says. “We have experienced and dedicated neonatologists that can be made available to new parents,” and along with it the peace of mind of knowing that the new baby will receive the highest-quality medical care available anywhere.
For parents, general pediatricians or family practice doctors, and people new to the area with children requiring a range of subspecialty care, all roads to superior medical care lead to CWPW.
